Missing in Action

Hi fellow bloggers, my dear friends and readers. I miss you all guys, finally am back after a few weeks of absence in blogging. I wasn’t able to update and write anything in my blog because of my hectic schedule at school and office. I’m having my Masters degree right now that’s why I’m always at school every weekends .

Last month was my busiest month at school. I was given a lot of term papers, case studies, and take home exams. Bad thing is, I need to finish all these paper works before the first trimester ends on September 27 2008. I felt disappointed because I was only given a few days to finish everything. Ive used all my spare time just to finish everything on time. The hardest one was the case study. Gathering enough information and evidence is really tough because I was force to use all my available resources. Thanks God, even in a few weeks, I was able to finish my entire task on time.

At this point I’m OK now after I got depressed. I’m to glad to be back in blogging after a few weeks of absence.

"My Niece Essay"

Religion is the cause of most of the World’s Wars and Conflicts, past & present, and continues to drive and feed into terrorism, war, and greed around the globe in the name of religious and personal / political beliefs.

Religion is a 100% man-made concept used to help people make sense of a world that is full of unknowns and “evil-doers”. The World was created billions of years ago, all starting with “the big bang”, or whatever caused matter to come into existence. I suppose you can call the producer of all this matter “God”, it’s not a person or a being; it’s a physics concept that we have yet to understand or comprehend. Someday we might find the answer to our existence, but it’s not due to a guy with a beard looking over us and creating each creature, creationism is a dying concept that will soon be forgotten. Realism will be the next “religion”, if humans are still around to ponder…

Some people can’t handle thinking about how insignificant the human race really is, and they think there must be a higher purpose for why we are here therefore turning to a certain religion to answer the unknown questions. In a couple million years when humans are long gone and proof of our civilization is melted deep beneath the Earth’s crust, maybe another species will think up a new and improved God to suit their needs. How do we know this already hasn’t happened three or four times in the Earth’s cycles of life and death? Ancient civilizations that existed 15,000-50,000 years ago with technology more advanced than ours currently. This could have happened many times in the past without anyone ever finding proof of its existence. (NOTE) If you are a creationist or extremely religious, your world clock only goes back around 4,000 years so trying to grasp any of these concepts here will be hard for you.

Until the people of the World unite as EARTHLINGS and act as responsible beings living on a fragile planet, we will be a very short-lived species known for our failure to survive amongst ourselves even for a short period of time. Humans are the Earth’s biggest threat ATM, much like a virus or nasty bacteria that keeps spreading; soon Earth will naturally eliminate these problems by cleansing itself and giving other species a chance to survive.

You might notice some grammatical error in the essay but that is because I didn’t edit it. This is her original ideas so decided to post it as is. She’s just 12 years old. Hope you enjoyed reading it.

Driving Alone

I was little bit upset last night when they woke me up at around 2:30 am just to drive my aunt to NIA airport because her flight was 4 am. Nobody was available to drive except me so I don’t have choice. Since they were all sleeping, I was force to drive alone with my aunt on board. I drove as fast as I could but my aunt told me to slow down when she notice that our speed was 110 kilometer per hour (k.p.h) because she felt nervous. I drop my speed in to 70 kph until we reach the airport. Since I was alone going home, I push the car to its speed limit. I was thrilled when I saw my speed was at 170 kilometer per hour but not quite excited because I was expecting 200 kph, but the car can’t go further beyond 170 probably because I’m using diesel not premium gasoline or blaze. While driving, I notice that I have a camera in my car so I pick it up and took some of these crazy pictures while driving one handed. That was my first crazy thing on the road. I don’t know what’s next but one thing for sure, if will do a crazy thing again it will be more exciting, dangerous and fun.

Is Astrology the Key to your Future?

According to the world book Encyclopedia, astrology "is based on the belief that the heavenly bodies form patterns that can reveal a person's character or future." Astrology was very famous during the Chaldeans (Babylonia). But the Babylonian astrologers could not foretell their city's downfall even a few hours in advance. And when God's own adverse judgment appeared on the wall of King Belshazzar's palace, the astrologers proved incapable of interpreting the cryptic writing.
Today, astrologers have not proved any more effective in predicting significant events. After examining more than 3,000 specific astrological predictions, scientific investigators R. Culver and Philip Ianna came to conclusion that only 10 percent were accurate. Any well-informed analyst could do better than that.
Rather than attribute our successes or failure to the stars, the Bible clearly states that "whatever a man is sowing, this he will also reap." (Galatians 6:7) God holds each of us responsible for our actions, since we are free moral agents. (Romans 14:12) True, we may suffer an accident or an illness because of events beyond our control. But such calamities, the scriptures explain, are due to "time and unforeseen occurrence," not our horoscope. -- Ecclesiastes 9:11.

Is Planet Earth Under Threat?

Global warming has been described as the greatest threat facing humanity. For one thing, the physical processes that underlie the global climate systems are complex and not fully understood. In addition, interest groups tend to put their own spin on the scientific data, such as that used to show why temperatures are rising.
Many believe that human activities are the major cause of global warming, which may have catastrophic consequences for the climate and the environment. For example, large scale melting of land-based ice and the expansion of the oceans as water warms could cause sea levels to rise drastically. Low lying lands island could disappear if this thing happens.
At the same time, rising temperatures could intensify storms, floods, and droughts. It could also risk the thousands of species of animals, including polar bears, whose hunting grounds are largely on the ice.
Rising temperature may also foster the spread of disease like fungi and etc. The danger posed by climate change is really quite alarming and maybe over the next decade’s climate change could cause irremediable harm to the habitats upon which human societies depend for survival.
What are we to make of these predictions? Is life on earth really at a crossroads? Skeptics of global warming say that such dire predictions are groundless. Others are not sure. So, what is the truth? Is earth’s future and ours in peril?

Conscience

Take a compass, and position it so that the needle points north.
Now place a magnet at the side of the compass. What happens?
The needle no longer gives an accurate reading. Instead, it is turned
toward the magnet.
Your conscience is like that compass, if properly trained, it will point
“north” and help you to make wise decisions. But harmful association,
like a magnet exerts a pull that can distort your moral judgment.
The lesson? Try to avoid people and situations that may throw your
moral sense off course! Try this experiment…

My friend’s thrilling experience

My friend rode an air-condition bus from Pasay to Quezon City yesterday. And his trip last for 2 hours and a half. On his way home, he experience an exciting accident. Their was a girl who was about to live the bus who freak out and cried because she notice that her newly bought cell phone worth of 15 thousand pesos was missing in her bag, somebody stole it. Because of her, everybody was alarm and check their cell phones. After a few seconds, two other girls cried also because their cell phones are missing too. The situation was getting worse. But a strange huge man stood up and declare him self as a police officer to calm down the situation and he did. He instructed the bus driver to close the door and don’t let anybody go out. He called the number of the missing cell phone and it rung loudly inside the bus. They recovered the phone but it was too late, it has been destroyed by the robber. He kicks the cell phone away from him to escape but his sit mates’ testified against him, so the police officer got him in the neck and hit him in the face until he bleeds and threw him outside the bus while he was bleeding seriously. His companions were able to escape with two cell phones because they left the bus early before the girls notice it. What an action pack and exiting experience. I want to experience same thing. I want to know how I will react when facing same situation. What a heroic act!

Judgment Day, What is it?

I haven’t post a serious topic since last month, so I decided discuss and share with you this widely and commonly used phrase but people interpreted it in different ways. I even heard different perceptions and ideas about this terrifying day, so I decided to share with you guys what I have read and learned from the Bible regarding this phrase. My opinion is merely based from the Bible.

Judgment day – what is it?

How do you picture Judgment day? Many think that one by one, billions of souls will be brought before the throne of God. There, Judgment will be passed upon each individual. Some will be rewarded with heavenly bliss, and others will be condemned to eternal torment. However, the Bible paints quite a different picture of this period of time. God’s word portrays it, not as terrifying time, but as a time of hope and restoration.

At Revelation 20:11, 12, I read the Apostle John’s description of Judgment day: “I saw a great white throne and the one seated on it. From before him the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds.” Who is the judge described here?

Jehovah God is the ultimate Judge of mankind (Psalm 83:18). However, he delegates the actual work of judging. According to Acts17:31, the apostle Paul said that God, “has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed.” This appointed Judge is the resurrected Jesus Christ. (John 5:22).

Lucky Day

Last Saturday, I spent 10 hours at school for my master’s degree. Fortunately, I was able to deliver my reports successfully in the classroom that day. I felt satisfied because I was able to catch their attention and they listen to me well though I was younger than them. On Sunday, I want to rest but I can’t because I to go to my congregation and worship Jehovah God. Sunday is my only free day every week to thanks my heavenly creator for what he has done for me everyday.
I don’t want to miss even a single hour of it even if too tired. Everything that I have is nothing with out God, and besides, he’s the source of everything. As usual, I went to our Kingdom hall at 9 am – 11:30 am. In the afternoon, we went out to reach people in their houses to preach the good news and share what we have learned in the Bible about God’s Kingdom. Its great privilege to preach and share God’s kingdom because not people given the chance and opportunity to do it. I’m really happy doing this.
I was little bit tired and dizzy yesterday. I felt weak and sick even if I’m not. I was given a full load yesterday; it means I have four students and two hours each. Unfortunately my 2 students were absent for some valid reasons. I use my vacant time resting in my room. I slept for 2 hours and read some books. I felt guilty though because the company paid me for nothing for hours but I have nothing to do but rest and relax. I consider it lucky day because it’s rare to happen. I hope it will happen again in the following day.

Cooking With Honey

I like cooking; actually cooking is one of my favorite hobbies at home. I cook when I like to taste some exotic food. I work in a restaurant for one year when I was in collage to earn some allowance for my self. At first, I was just a dish washer, but I work hard and learned how to cook, after a few months of working hard, I was assign as a reliever to our chef when he’s absent.
I just want to share with you some cooking tips that I learned when I was still cooking; I hope it will be helpful for you guys! Do you like sweet foods? This thing might help you. Instead of using sugar to make your food taste sweet, why not try to use “honey” it’s much better and healthy. I say this because I’ve tried it. Honey is sweeter than table sugar. Therefore, as a substitute for sugar, use only half to three quarters as much honey as you would sugar. Also, since honey is about 18 percent water, reduce the liquids in your recipe accordingly. If there are no liquids, add two table spoons of flour per cup of honey. For baked goods, also add one half teaspoon of baking soda per cup of honey and reduce the temperature of your oven by 25 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bad Night!

I went home early yesterday because I have a lot of task to finish, like my reports in graduate school. I was assigned to report in class this coming Saturday about “role of cross cultural influences in work motivation.” The topic was little bit difficult, it’s more on theories and their application in any organizations. Not only this, but I have another report in other subject on same day, so I really need to work double time to finish it. As soon as I arrived home, I started reading my report, hoping to finish it on time. But I was shock and felt disturb that I couldn’t even think well and concentrate when my brother called and told me that my father’s backbone was damage and cracked due to an accident yesterday.
He was almost died and paralyzed because of what happen, but thanks God he survive the accident. My father was crossing a newly constructed foot bridge with other 2 workers when the bridge suddenly collapses for unknown reasons. My father fell unconscious for 3 hours right after the accident that made me angry and disturb. Can you imagine a newly constructed 20 meters high foot bridge was collapse? It nearly cost the life of my father. I didn’t finish my report though I was in a half way, because I can’t concentrate and I don’t have enough time. I feel little bit dizzy this morning because of restless night but I need to report in my job and I can’t afford to get absent no matter what.

My Dream Last Night

In an instant, my mind was traveling through the clouds of memories with wings. When I was a young boy, I was already training to become a skilled hunter, for my father was the most famous hunter in our hamlet. I always looked at him in utter awe. He was tall, strong, proud, battle-hardened, and also kind. Every time he went out to hunt, he always came back with his hunted animal. Like crocodile, a tiger, and even a bear. The hamlet was always safe because of my father, and I was determined to become a hunter like him in the near future. However, fate was too cruel. One day, my father and I were walking along the road of the hamlet, talking about what I would like to do today. I told him that I would like to go hunting with him, and he just laughed, telling me that he will take me to hunting when I am older. Then, we heard the unmistakable blow of a horn that spelled only one thing; a dangerous beast had come. My father immediately took out his knife, and shoved me behind him. We waited, but the beast did not come. Then, when I turned my head I saw the beast. It was an enormous hog, already charging toward us. My father covered me with his body, and braced himself for the crash. I cried and told him to run, but he smiled and replied to me to become strong and protect my mother. As soon as he finished saying, I felt a drop of tear on my face, then all I saw was red. I felt my father and me flying through the air, crashing to the ground. Villagers came running in our direction, and the hog ran away. I shook my father again and again as he lay in a pool of his own blood. I did not want to believe that my father was dead, and struggled viciously when the people tried to take me away from my father. I cried, and shouted angrily. Later, at my father’s funeral, I stood motionless, holding my grief-stricken mother. I had received the heirloom of my family, which is a Gorham knife made out of the purest and the strongest of gems and the thickest oak tree. As I held the family heirloom in my hands, I swore that I would hunt down the beast till the end of the world even if it meant my own death. Only to find out after a while that everything was just an epic dream. I took these pictures 1 year ago in the rain forest of my province while hunting that's why i decided to include it here as a background because somehow it's related...

“Interesting hobby”

At the young age I found my self interested in viewing and appreciating exotic pictures taken from environment and some interesting places. I wasn’t able to develop and pursue my interest because I don’t have time and money to by a camera for me. I still love taking pictures until now though I bought a cell phone with 3.5 mega pixel camera on it to complement my needs and interest
It’s been a while since I took pictures from my cell phone because of hectic schedule but on my way home yesterday, I took these pictures while meditating and looking out side the building were I work because I couldn’t resist the view of the sunset and the color of the sky. When I took pictures I feel relaxed and motivated to continue and learn the best way to capture fascinating views and interesting places anywhere.
According to my photographer friend, it’s a great self fulfillment when people appreciate your pictures and look at you as talented artist. I haven’t experienced this but it seems like exiting interesting. I showed these pictures to my friend and he said it’s good and I have the potential though it’s simple.

When did the Astrologers Visit Jesus?

This is what the Bible comments: “The Magi did not visit Jesus at the manger on the night of his birth as did the shepherds. They came some months later.” By then Jesus was a “young child” and was living in a house. (Mathew 2:7-11) look, if Jesus had been given gold and valuable gifts on the night he was born, would Mary have offered only two birds at the temple 40 days later?

What I Think of Dates!

In many lands dating is viewed as a means of romantic entertainment, a fun activity. Dating thus takes many forms. For some, a date is a formal structured affair like giving flowers or a lovely dinner. And for others, a date simply means spending some time together with someone you like of the opposite sex. Well, whether you call it dating, going together or just seeing each other, it usually amounts or means to the same thing.

You may feel under pressure to date. Most of your peers probably date and naturally you do not want to seem weird or different. Pressure to date may also come from well-meaning friends and relatives. For some youths the pressure comes from there own desires for warmth and affection. But a teenager should not begin dating simply because he or she feels pressured to do so! For one thing, dating is serious business it is a part of the process of selecting a marriage mate.

Today, Youths are in the vulnerable period of life the Bible calls “the bloom of youth” during this time; you may feel powerful surges of sexual desire. There is nothing wrong with this because it is a part of growing up. But therein lies a big problem with teenagers dating. Teen agers are just beginning to learn how to control their feelings, dating may simply be too much for them to handle. When one is past the bloom of youth, one can better deal with sexual impulses and even then it is not easy.

After all, during the teen years, your personality is still in a state of flux. You are discovering who you are, what you really like and what to do with your life. Someone who interests you today may very well bore you tomorrow. But when romantic feelings have been allowed to flourish, some one is bound to get hurt, not surprisingly; several research studies have linked a fight with girl friend or disappointment in love as among the situations responsible for many youthful suicides.

Stress everyday?

In reality, we can’t escape from stress, whether you are a worker, student, or an ordinary citizen because we are living in a stressful ever-changing situation of this world. Too much stress isn’t good to our health says one expert. It can cause to a serious health sickness and problem if you are not careful enough. So better do something to refresh and relax your self. I feel same thing sometimes because of my stressful job but I find a way to escape from it sometimes.

Every time I’m down and stress, I used to sit dawn in front of my computer, open my blog and write anything just to express my self and release my tension. I find it effective though because after blogging I feel much better. Try it if you want to prove me right.

Hectic Schedule!

fun

nothing

I didn’t intend to have a hectic schedule but it was happen though! I’m working as a full time teacher from Monday to Friday and full time student every Saturday. So Sunday should be my rest day but it’s not that simple because I need to get up at 8:00 am every Sunday in order to attend Congregation meetings from 9 am to 12 pm. And in the afternoon I need to go house to house preaching the good news about God’s kingdom to all people and after that, I conduct Bible study from 4pm to 6pm.

I enrolled my master’s degree last June 7 for self fulfillment and to lift up my educational attainment. I enrolled 12 units without thinking about it. I was surprise when I learned that I need to stay at least 13 hours in school from 8:30 am to 9 pm every Saturday. My first day in school was so terrible when I finish my class at around 9 I suffered head ache the whole night until morning. It’s good to have master’s degree but it’s really hard to earn it. But it’s fun also in way that you can socialize and have a lot of connections with different people from different jobs, agencies, and companies who happen to be you classmates.

It’s good to have a hectic schedule because you learn to manage your self and time properly to fit with you schedule and keep in touch with your activities everyday but in some other points it’s not good because you can’t have a much needed rest to recharge your energy and stamina.

“More harm than Good”?

Blood transfusion with banked human body may do more harm than good for a majority of patients, a report from Duke University Medical center in U.S.A found out that patient who used blood transfusion has higher incidences of heart attack, heart failure and even death than those who were not transfused. Why? “Because nitric oxide in red blood cells begins breaking down almost immediately after red blood cells leave the body”.

Nitric oxide is crucial to keeping blood vessels open and thus allowing red cells to ferry oxygen to the body’s tissues. “Millions of patients are apparently receiving transfusions with blood that is impaired in its ability to deliver, says one medical expert. So if you have any plans to used blood transfusion to save your life then better think twice or ells, bad things will happen to you, why not just used medical alternative than to risk your life with nothing! Don’t you know that the Bible word of God also warn humans not to used blood and keep away from it by any circumstances.

A few things about life

Love is a romantic mysterious feeling that seizes anybody, it’s a once in a life time feeling sheer ecstasy. Love, they believe is strictly an affair of the heart, something that cannot be understood, but you can experienced it. No doubt about it, feeling in love can be a uniquely beautiful experience.

Physical appearance is the main reason and factor why we are attracted to opposite sex, but remember that outward appearances can be deceiving. The Bible says “charm may be false and prettiness may be vain”. The glittering wrappings of the gift tells you nothing of what’s inside. In fact, the most elegant wrappings may cover a useless gift. The proverbs says: “as a good nose ring in the snout of a pig, so as a woman that is pretty but turns away from sensibleness. Nose rings were popular adornment during bible times. They were exquisite, often made of solid gold. Naturally, such a ring would be the first piece of jewelry you would notice on a woman.
Appropriately, the proverb compares an outwardly beautiful woman who lacks of sensibleness to a nose ring in the snout of a pig. Beauty simply does not befit a senseless woman; it is a useless
ornament on her.

Some prominent people and writers feel that the human heart has infallible romantic judgment. Just listen to your heart, they argue and you will know when it’s real love. Thousands of couples every year marry under the illusion of being in love, only to find out that they have seriously erred.

Celtics smoked Lakers ass!

Celtics is not my favorite team in the NBA but I like them better than Lakers. Celtics won game 4 in Lakers today because of the effort of Rey Allen and Paul Pierce. A lot of people doubted the potential of Celtics team although they have like Rey Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnet but they are wrong. Kobe Bryant is a fine and good player, and he’s in his prime right now but he is very boastful not unlike Jordan, the living legend.

I want Celtics to win the NBA finals because they deserved it and the big trees don’t have any NBA ring yet. Lakers have a commanding lead since first quarter but the tight defends of the Celtics makes difference and change the tempo and momentum of the game. Rey Allen, the sweet shooting guard of the Boston Celtics made 6 tree pointers and a couple of lay ups to lead the Celtics rally in the fourth quarter to erase the Lakers in their home court and won the game.

my place

These are just some of the pictures that I took in my cell phone when I attended the burial of my beloved grand mother last, last month. This is also the place where I grew up since childhood. I used to run in these forest mountains when my late grandmother scolds me. I’d even climb some trees to play and relax my self. I love this place because it’s cool and still fresh. It was good though because after 10 years, some of these places are still present. I took these pictures while relaxing early in the morning. I used to meditate in this place if I’m stress.

No Free Time

I wasn’t able to post anything in my blog last week because I was so busy, my schedule was o full, I don’t have any vacant time at work and my computer at home wasn’t working well. I was so preoccupied that I couldn’t even have time to open and check my blog. But this week, no matter what happen I will set aside a time for my blog.

It’s really annoying because every night before I go to bed I need to study for a while to prepare my lesson for the following day. I used to it though because I’m a teacher but things went out different when I was assigned to teach extensive grammar to my students since last, last week. Can you imagine I need to read a lot of grammar books to prepare for their possible questions when they got confused! What a work!!! It was good though because I was force to teach things well and recall the things I learned before.

You know guys! One of the greatest challenges of teaching stems from the lack of immediate, accurate feed back. The student who walks out of your classroom shaking his head and muttering under his breath about grammar may burst into class tomorrow proclaiming his triumph over English, and thanking you for the previous lesson. There is no way to predict precisely what long term results of your work will be but if you have a sense of purpose, you can cultivate expectations of success for your students. Thoughtful preparation makes good outcomes more likely than bad ones.

A Job that never Exist in my vocabulary 8 years ago!

I can’t still imagine my self being in the teaching profession for almost a year. I’ve been teaching for almost a year now but I don’t feel I’m teaching. I can’t still believe that my primary source of income is teaching. I’d never dreamed and thought to be a teacher when I was in high school, though my teacher always encourages me to be a teacher because I was one of the top students in the class that they can always depend on any time. I graduated as salutatorian that’s why they really encourage me to enroll Education and be a teacher because they believe that I can be an effective and efficient teacher in the future but I told them that I hate teaching and it’s not included in my vocabulary words. But things change!

Because my grades are quite high and I graduated salutatorian, the government granted a full scholarship in collage at the University of Baguio, Baguio City. But they gave me a condition which I didn’t expect. I can only enjoy or avail my full scholarship if and only if am going to enroll Education! Bad condition for me! When I heard about the condition they are asking, I was frustrated. It took me one month to decide before I accepted the offer. I accepted the offer because I don’t have any choice. My family is poor and they can’t afford to send me in a well known University to study. I grab the opportunity though it’s hard on my part because this is what my parents want me to do and don’t want to hurt and disappoint them. I don’t know if will works, I only know one thing on that time, my dreams where shuttered.

After five years, I finished the course. It took me five years to finish the course because of some distractions like financial problems and etc. And now, I can’t still believe I’m already a teacher and I’ve been in this profession for almost a year! The only happy ending is that I’m making some coins from teaching right now! What a job! Teaching is really the noblest profession but I don’t still love what I’m doing.

Denied Blog

I created a blog last February because I heard that it is fun and exiting. My co teacher’s daughter created it for me under her domain. She’s hosting a lot of blogs for almost a year right now. She told me to change my password for security purposes and I should start blogging as soon as possible. And I should visit some blogs and give a comment in order to leave a mark. “One way of increasing blog ranks is to visit other blog”, this is the thing that she told me.

As soon as I changed the password I started blogging and I visited a lot of blogs in order to invite readers and increase my page rank. I spent all my free time at the office in blogging hopping to catch some readers. I really exerted effort and invested a lot of time in blogging since February 2008. I wrote some interesting essays about my life and serious things or issues happening around the world hoping to catch the attention of blog readers. I can’t believe all my works was gone in a single minute since last week!

I felt frustrated and stress last week when my blog was suspended including the blog of my host. I called her and told her everything and she tried her best to fix it but she failed. Her blog site was suspended because she hosted a lot of blog including mine and yet her domain wasn’t aloud to host because it is just a sub domain.

She was instructed to eliminate all her sub domains if she wants to continue blogging and get back her blog site! That’s what she did though it’s hard on her part. She was really frustrated about the accident but she can’t do anything about it except to follow the rules.

When I heard the bad news, I created a new blog in order to recover from what I have lost. But whether I like it or not I need to start form the bottom again. I’m still happy though for Karen because she was able to save her blog!

“Reincarnatoin”

How much difference is there between reincarnation and the hope held out in the Bible?

Reincarnation

Let me share with you an interesting comparison and answer that I have found. First, let me define reincarnation. Reincarnation is a belief that one is reborn in one or more successive existences which may be human or animal. Usually it is an intangible “soul” that is believe to be reborn in another body.

According to this belief, when a person dies, the soul will passes on to a better existence if the individual has lived a good and proper life, but possibly to existence as an animal if his record has been more bad than good. Each rebirth is believed to bring the individual back in to the same system of things where he will suffer an eventual death. The cycle of rebirth are viewed as virtually endless. Is such a future really that awaits you? Some believe that the only way of escape is by extinguishing all desire for things pleasing to the senses. To what do they escape? To what some describe as unconscious life.

Bible

According to the Bible, the “soul” is the complete person. Even though a person may have done bad things in the past if he repents and change his ways, Jehovah God will forgive him (psalm 103:12, 13). When a person dies, nothing survives. Death is like a deep dreamless sleep. There will be a resurrection of the dead. This is not a reincarnation but a bringing back to life of the same personality (Acts 24:15). For most people, the resurrection will be to life on earth. It will take place after God brings the present wicked system to its end. Sickness, suffering, even the necessity to die will become things of the past. (Daniel 2:44; Revelation 21:3, 4).

The Role of Wisdom in Good Communication

The Bible tells Christians to b “swift about hearing” and “slow about listening.” (James 1:19) This is effective and good advice when one is dealing with children of any age. Hearing and listening is very important and effective in dealing with adolescents.

This may require great effort but you have to expand your communication skills when your children became teenagers. You have to reason with them, talk things through, and let them use their own thinking abilities to resolve matters. In short, as good parents you need to reach their heart. Listening is especially vital when there is a conflict. Resolved the conflict by sitting down with your sons or daughters and listen to them carefully. And you can see that being “swift about hearing” help you to discern a deeper issue.

Proverbs 18:13 states: “when anyone is replying to a matter before he hears it, that is foolishness on his part and humiliation.”

Early morning headach

I was little upset and feel bad this morning because of my aunt. I woke up 6:00 Am and took a shower. After shower, I iron my cloths and went to kitchen for early breakfast. I stop eating and lost my appetite when my aunt came from the other door with bad mood; she talked a lot and scolded everybody in the kitchen including me with out explaining the reason.

I don’t know what was wrong with her, maybe she don’t have enough sleep or she just want to scold us. But whatever the reason is, I really felt bad because she shook me and made me feel stupid going to work without having breakfast.

Technology has gone so far today, five years ago, you need to buy 3 inches floppy disk if you want to save confidential files. But now, it is possible to save any files from the computer that you want to keep confidential and bring it with you anywhere because of the this Data Traveler also known as USB

This Data Traveler is quite interesting and different, it’s smaller than your palm and it’s shorter than your fingers but it can save a two five hundred pages of books aside from songs, pictures, videos, and etc. This micro cheep is friendly user, affordable and it’s easy to carry. You can put it in your packet or hang it in your neck if you put a lace on it.

You know I bought one for me with out a doubt when I saw it in the market and it’s still working until now, in fact I have a lot of files and funny pictures on it. It’s really useful guys!

Hope for our dead love ones!!

My parents and my other relatives grieved when my grand mother died and buried last month. I saw a lot of tears falling from their eyes during the burial most especially my step grandfather. He almost drowned emotionally because of grieving and too much mourning.

I grieved too but I am happy and relieved to know about the Bible word of God tells about the hope of our dead love ones. We’re they and what are their hopes in the near future. The Bible tells us that God views the dead as just resting and sleeping. He said that he will wake and resurrect the dead in the future. “Do not marvel at this, because the hours are coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment (John 5:28,29). Jesus set a good assurance and example when he was resurrected by his beloved father Jehovah God. He was raised up from dead after resting or sleeping on his tomb for 3 days.

(1 Corinthians 15:20-22). What a refreshing promised right? Jesus resurrected some dead people when he was on earth to show that he can really resurrect the dead and fulfill his promised. It is recorded in John chapter 11:11-14 and 39-44 one account how Jesus perform miracle by raising his friend Lazaro from dead.

Reincarnation is different from what the Bible teaches and promised. The Bible doesn’t teach about reincarnation or the rebirth of ones soul in to another creature, like animals etc. or even human being.

Almost Dead

This is my nephew now after his first birthday. Actually this baby was born premature. He was 7 months old when he was born I thought he wasn’t able to make it because of his bad condition but because of God’s help he did. Right after his birth, I saw him like a helpless newborn puppy because his skin was transparent and I can even see his heart beating through his skin. Because of his condition, he stayed inside the incubator for 2 months.
His mother and grandmother called him half a million baby because they spent five hundred pesos for the incubator aside from other things. It’s amazing to see this little healthy baby fat boy running and climbing around the house now because he was so little and helpless before and now look at him, his healthy and cute isn’t he?

Time is Gold?

Because of hectic schedule and economic crisis that that we are facing today, I’d notice that many people are having a hard time to give or spent even a single minute of their precious time to praise and give thanks to god. Is this true to you? If yes, then you need to examine yourself.

Let me share with you what is written in the Bible book of Ephesians chapter five verse fifteen up to seventeen (5:15-17). “So keep strict watch that how you walk is not unwise persons, buying the opportune time for your selves because the days are wicked. On this account cease becoming unreasonable but go on perceiving what the will of Jehovah God is”.

Our busy lives place many demands on us. At times it may be a struggle for us to meet all of our obligations. Yet, we need to keep in mind that life is a gift we have received from God. So it is proper and wise then to spend time with our heavenly father sometimes in spite our hectic schedule.

How much of our time and energy does god expect us to devote to him? The Bible’s reasonable answer is encouraging. And it contains a warm invitation: “Draw close to God and he will Draw close to you” (James 4:8).

“Steps That Can Help You to Build a Happy Marriage”

  • Study God’s word along with your mate regularly, and pray to God for help and Guidance in resolving problems.

  • Confine sexual interest exclusively to your mate.

  • Communicate openly, honestly, and lovingly about your problems and differences.

  • Speak to your mate in a kind, considerate manner; avoid Outburst of anger, nagging, and harsh critical remarks.

  • Humbly apply Bible counsel even if you feel that your mate is not doing everything he or she should be doing.

  • Work hard to cultivate spiritual the spiritual qualities mentioned in the Bible.

“Roots of the New Year’s Celebration”

The New Year’s holiday originate with a number of pagan holidays from ancient Rome. The 1st January was a holiday dedicated to the pagan god Janus, and the name of the month comes from his name. Images of Janus have two faces on opposite sides, which meant that he saw both the past and the present.

There was a saying that whoever greeted January 1st with fun, laughter, and plenty would pass the entire year in happiness and wellbeing. The very first superstition accompanies the celebrating of the New Year for many of our compatriots. During certain pagan holidays, people would directly bring sacrifices to an idol. Some were notorious for immoral orgies, adultery, and fornication.

On other occasions, for example during the Janus holiday, there were excesses in eating and drinking, drunkenness, and every sort of unclearness that accompanies them. If you remember how yourself in times past have celebrated New Year’s day, then there’s no way for you not to admit that you have participated in this pagan celebration.

IS EXPERIENCE THE BEST TEACHER?

Personal experience both good and bad can teach us valuable lessons. But is it really true that experience is the best teacher? Some said yes and others said it depends. The truth is no, why? Because there is a superior source of guidance none other than our divine creator.

Why is learning from divine instructor far better than learning from personal experience? For one thing, learning only from experience involves trial and error and this can be both costly and painful. “O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” God said to the ancient Israelites. (Isaiah 48:18)

One reason why God’s word excels as a source of instruction is that, it contains the oldest and most accurate account of human experience. You really realize that painlessly learning from the successes and failures of others is preferable to repeating their mistakes. More important, in the Bible, God provides us with superb laws and guiding principles that are unequaled in reliability. Remember that the law of Jehovah God is perfect and trustworthy, making the inexperience one wise. Surely, learning from the wisdom of our loving creator is the best possible way. Try and you won’t regret anything at the end.

MODEL OF COOPERATION

Thousands of years ago, the Wise King Solomon, who was a student of nature, observed the lowly ant. He wrote: “Go to the ant and look at them you lazy one; see its ways and become wise. Although it has no commander, officer or ruler, it prepares its food even in the summer; it has gathered its food supplies even in the harvest.” ((Proverbs 6: 6-8).

Ants are model of cooperation, industry, and order, often working together to drag home objects much larger than them. Some ants will even assist injured or exhausted members of the colony back to their nest. I view of these traits, it is no wonder that ants are good model for us to imitate.

Certain ants also enjoy a symbolic alliance with plants. In exchange for nest sites and food, these insects might pollinate their host, disperse its seeds, help provide its nutrients, or protect it against herbivores, whether other insects or mammals.

On the other hand, some ants prefer “animal husbandry,” their charges being aphids that secrete sweet honeydew when gently stroked by the ant’s antennas. The ants tend these insects like cattle, milking them for food and protecting from predators. Just as a dairy farmer might put his cows in the barn overnight, ants often carry aphids to the safety of the ants nest in the evening and return them to the “pasture” in the morning, usually to younger, more nourishing leaves. And we are not talking about just a few aphids. Ants may have “herds” that number in the thousands in a single nest!

Some species of butterflies are also tended by ants. The large blue butterfly for example, has a symbolic relationship with red ants. In fact, it can’t complete its life cycle with out their help. As cater pillar, it rewards its host with sugary excretions. Later, when the butterfly emerges from its chrysalis, it leaves the ants’ nest safe and unharmed.

Jehovah’s Witnesses and Health

Jehovah’s Witnesses, some of whom are physicians and nurses, are known worldwide for their rejection of blood transfusion or primary blood components. Does their united stand against this practice stem from a man-made doctrine or a belief that a person’s faith can heal medical ailments? That is far from the truth.

Cherishing their life as a gift from God, the Witnesses strive to do their best to live according to the Bible. Which they believe is “inspired of God.” The Bible encourages worshippers of God to avoid practices and habits that harm health or endanger life, such as overeating, smoking or chewing tobacco, abusing alcohol, and using drugs for recreational purposes.

By keeping our body and surroundings clean and getting some physical exercise for health reasons, we are acting in harmony with Bible principles. When Jehovah’s Witnesses get sick, they demonstrate reasonableness by seeking medical care and accepting the vast majority of available treatment options. True, they are obeying the Bible command to “keep obtaining from blood” (Acts 15:29) insisting on nonblood medical management. And this choice often results in a higher quality of treatment.

I am curious: Why does God allow severe suffering?

I watch a documentary film and news yesterday. I saw people begging for food suffering from hunger, crimes, wars and environmental disasters. Here in the Philippines people keep on protesting and asking the president to resign because according to them they are suffering from government failure to rebuild the economy and restore peace and security in the country. Recently, in China a lot of people died cause by unknown pestilences and other dangerous epidemic.

In Western Europe and other country around the world, people died and some are still suffering because floods destroyed there homes and livelihood. I feel pity for these people but I can’t do anything for them. Because of the things happening around the world, I can’t stop my self asking why? What’s happening? Is there a God who really cares? If there is God why did he allow such rampant anguish, pain and suffering? Where is God? Is this his will?

If I will ask all these questions to you can you explain to me why and give a good an answer? I am sure you can’t right? If so, aren’t you curious also as I am? Or have you tried asking same questions by your self and found unsatisfying answers? I know your wondering also why such things happening.

People who ask question like this often seek the real reason like me! My curiosity provokes me to search the answers. It’s difficult though because I don’t know where to start and where to go but my determination push me to find the answer. And I want to share what I have found.

I read in the Bible that “God” is “love “ and this is recorded in the Bible book of John, (1 John 4:8). And James 1:13 states; “when under trial, let no one say: I am being tried by God for evil things God can’t be tried nor does he himself try anyone.” So if you have suffered evil, rest assured that God isn’t the cause.

Try to think about the real meaning of the said Bible text and you will come up with one thing, “God can’t do evil thing”. The Bible doesn’t teach that God is behind all the severe suffering of people today. Instead mankind has made such disasters worse by damaging the natural environment and by building in areas prone to earthquakes, floods and extreme weather. Then who is behind the wars, famines, natural disasters, sickness, and death that plaque mankind causing futility pain and suffering? None other than human itself with the guidance of the ruler of this world Satan the Devil.

1 John 5:19 states that “the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one, the wick one who is mentioned in the above paragraph is Satan the Devil. We humans are suffering today because Satan is the ruler of this world not God and we are also leaving in what the Bible calls the “last days”.

How Does God View Homosexuality?

Today, many people are still arguing about the issue of homosexuality. But how does God view homosexuality? The Bible leaves no room for confusion. It tells us that Jehovah God made man and woman and that he purposed for sexual desires to be fulfilled only between husband and wife. It comes no surprise then, that the Bible condemns homosexual acts.

Of course many would not agree and believe it and said that the Bible is out of date. But are you not curious why are some so quick to make that claim? Often, it is because the Bible’s view conflict their own thinking and point of view. They reject God’s word because it teaches something different from what they want to believe.

As a young person, you may be experiencing a variety of emotions. What if you feel attracted to the same sex? Does automatically mean that you are a homosexual? No. Remember, you are in the bloom of youth, a period in which you are subject to involuntary sexual arousal. For time, you attention may focus on a member of the same sex. But it doesn’t mean that you are a gay. In fact, statistics indicate that such inclinations usually fade in time. Still you might wonder how these desires start in the first place.

Some say that homosexuality is rooted in the genes. Others say it is learned behavior. Regardless of the cause, the important thing to realize is that the Bible condemns homosexual acts. Nevertheless, by heeding the counsel of the Bible, the person can refrain from acting on that desire.

Granted, same sex desires may be strongly entrenched. Be assured though, that even deeply rooted wrong desires are not insurmountable. Ultimately, you are in control of how you will live. And despite claims to the contrary, you can learn to control your impulses or at least refrain from acting on them.

PEER PRESSURE!

As some youths get older, the influence of parents seems fading, and the desire to be popular and to be accepted by peers grows strong. m Others simply feel a need to talk with someone who “understand” or who will make them feel loved or needed. When good communication is lacking at home, youth seek it among their peers. One more thing is lack of self confidence and feelings of insecurity cause some to be vulnerable to peer influence.

Peer influence is not necessarily bad. A proverb says: “By iron, iron itself is sharpened. So one man sharpens the face of another.” Just as an iron knife can sharpen the dulled edge of another knife, fellowship with other youths can sharppen your personality and make you a better person if the peers who influence are mature and have healthy attitudes. All to often, youths are lacking of maturity. Many youth shave viewpoints and opinions that are unsound, unreliable, and even reckless. So when a youth comes under the influence of peers, it may be little more than a blind leading the blind. And the results can be disastrous. Even when peers are not edging you toward outrageous behavior, their influence can still feel oppressive because you feared to be isolated thus you worked hard to gain their acceptance.

What Happens After Death?

What happens to human who die? Do they continue existing but in other form, perhaps as angels in the spirit realm? The Bible has this simple and clear answer: The Bible book of Ecclesiastes 9:5 says that, “The living is conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” You can read in your Bible if you have. So at death humans cease to exist. The dead know, feel, and experience absolutely nothing.
Is their hope for the dead? Yes! The Bible shows that the hope for most humans who have died is to be resurrected. The vast majority of the dead are to be raised to life as human’s on a paradise earth. (Luke 23: 43 & John 5:28)
Consider to the contrast between dead humans and living angels. Whereas deceased humans “are conscious of nothing at all,” an angel has full consciousness, and personal will. They are free moral angels. The dead are described as “impotent,” or powerless, while angels are “mighty in power.” And humans are descendants of Adam die as a result of sin and imperfection, God-fearing angels are perfect, enjoying a fully approved standing before Jehovah God.
The idea that angels are the souls of deceased humans might make for imaginative movies, but the notion finds no support from the Bible. The Bible truth set forth above help us to avoid any misconception about the fate of our love ones who die. The Bible assures us that the faithful angels are separately created, powerful servants of God superior to humans and are always ready to do God’s will. God’s will includes using angels to watch over and assist those who sincerely respect Jehovah God and seek to serve him.

“Traffic Jam”

Unexpectedly, I experience a horrible and terrible traffic jam yesterday in whole since I move here in the hearth of manila. I have been experiencing a lot of traffic jam while driving and commuting to school and work before but I can say that yesterday’s traffic was incomparable and amazing!
I took a bus from my work going home at 5 pm yesterday right after our office hour hoping to be home early in order to attend the midweek service in our congregation but unfortunately, I wasn’t able too because I was stuck into the middle of terrible traffic. I can’t imagine I spend almost four and a half hours on that area! It’s really amazing and terrible isn’t it?
But I am still thankful because in spite of that terrible traffic I was able to come home safely. I can’t imagine myself to experience the same thing in the future because I do, I would probably freak-out. You know what I have learned? Always expect the unexpected.

“Holly Week”

From child hood up to now I’d notice that Filipinos and other religious counties around the world identified as Christians are celebrating the death of Christ in different ways. The Filipinos are celebrating the holly week by praying and singing to their respected church and some are trying to imitate Jesus by hanging themselves in to a torture stake like Jesus.
But who is Jesus? IS he God or son of God? Many people are claiming that Jesus and God are one or same! Is it true that father and son are living in one living creature?
In Bible book of Luke chapter 1 verses 31-33 Jesus was called as the son of the most high so it clear that Jesus isn’t God instead he is the son of God. At Mathew chapter 6 verse 9, Jesus thought his disciples to pray constantly to his father by sanctifying his name, he did not insist and claim that he is God and they should pray to him instead he thought them the importance of praying to his beloved father not him.
In the new testament, from Mathew to Revelation, there isn’t any word written saying that Jesus is God instead it is always said that he is the son of the most high God Jehovah. Jesus always keeps on telling his disciple and his listeners the importance of praying constantly to his father for guidance and forgiveness everyday.
Jesus also told us that he is the only way to his father it means he is the bridge and mediator of humans to God. Jesus was sent by God to save humans from the sin brought by our grand grand parents Adam and Eve, with out his blood it would be impossible for us to be saved and come closer to God. So it is wrong to think and say that he is God because it will contradict to his teachings that his father send him to this world, Jesus isn’t insane to called himself father and son at the same time and praying to himself crying for help. Is he? Definitely not am I right!
